  33. I'm not sure what you mean about the shell, but yes,
  34. AIX (it would have been helpful if you mentioned the
  35. version) 3.x uses *two* (2) lockfiles -- or rather,
  36. one lockfile, plus a link to it.  If memory serves,
  37. they are something like:

  39.   /etc/locks/LCK..tty00
  40.  
  41. (where "tty00" is the device name), and then the
  42. link would be called:
  43.  
  44.   /etc/locks/tty00
  45.  
  46. So you have to nail them both.
